A SONAS Bathrooms Makeover...
There's nothing we love more than seeing a new bathroom kitted out with our fabulous products. And even better when we get to check out the before pix too. Is's amazing to see how much of an improvement there can be with some small changes.
This week, Irish Bathrooms kindly sent us pictures of a recent renovation project they carried out in Knocklyon in south Dublin. The results look gorgeous.
Out with the old, in with the new...
The old bathroom in this house looked tired and in need of some TLC. The addition of SONAS products really added to the overall sparkle of the room to give it a modern, stylish and fresh feel.
Like many people who come into our showroom, this client decided to remove the bath. They replaced it with a large walk in shower. This made the bathroom much more functional and suited to their needs. As well as this, they took out their old electric shower and replaced it with a fabulous powerful shower. This makes their showering experience much more luxurious.
As you can see from the before pictures, the bathroom lacked a wow factor. But with a bit of planning and the careful selection of some gorgeous new bathroom ware, the room was transformed into a stylish and modern haven.
Recreate the Look...
The focal point of the bathroom is the mirror area, with its semi-recessed basin, shelf and accessories. The mirror itself is the fabulous Signia Backlit Mirror, which is available in various sizes. This client chose a generous 600 x 800, which costs €320.
The basin is the Series 600 Semi Recessed Basin,which is 52cm and perfect for a contemporary bathroom. In keeping with the modern look, the taps were a Quartz Basin Mixer. This product comes with free click clack waste. Overall, it's clean, stylish and sophisticated.
The towel rail pictured is not one stocked by SONAS Bathrooms, but we have a fabulous selection here. A similar one is the Forge 1200 x 500. Talk to your installer or one of our experts in the showroom about which heater is suitable for your bathroom. Each one has a different heat output and you'll need to choose accordingly.
The new toilet was the Series 600 Back to Wall Toilet with a soft close seat. Again, this product is super stylish, sleek and ideal for a contemporary bathroom. The fact that the back of it is flush to the wall makes it much easier to clean. There are no nooks and crannies for dirt and dust to hide behind. The cistern itself is concealed behind the tiles and the flushing mechanism is a simple button on the tiled area behind the toilet. The look is so streamlined and fresh. The old toilet was old-fashioned and impractical as the chain to flush the toilet is definitely out of reach for kids.
Wow factor...
The brand new shower really adds to the overall wow factor. Each element from it is from the SONAS Bathrooms catalogue. The thermostatic shower valve - which ensures the water comes out at just the right temperature - is a Pictor. This is a concealed valve in a stylish chrome finish and it comes with a five year guarantee. Again, speak to your installer to ensure that this product is suitable for your bathroom as it requires a minimum operating pressure.
The shower head is the Kelda 200mm Shower & Wall Arm. This look is minimalist and contemporary and at just €92, the shower head is great value to boot. It definitely injects a bit of luxury into your daily routine when you've got a fabulous shower head like this. And to complete the look, an Urban 800 Wetroom Panel was installed.
