free standing baths for spa like bathroom

WE'VE all done it: checked into a sumptuous hotel room, swooned over the bathroom and promised ourselves to make more of an effort to add a touch of luxury to our own when we get home. So whether you're building a new home, updating your existing bathroom or simply looking for ideas for nice accessories,
we've got you covered. Here are our top tips for creating a spa-inspired bathroom at home.

Get rid of any mess and clutter. Messy looking tubes of toothpaste, razors, bottles of shaving foam - there's no need for these to be out on display for all to see. Get yourself a little basket and put these essentials into it and pop into whichever cupboard you have in your bathroom. If you want to have any products out on display, make it's your nicely packaged creams and lotions or a nice looking shaving brush that will add a touch of class.

sheraton-countess

If you've got room for a bath, make it a showstopper. For a more traditional look, we love the COUNTESS (€770/£649.00) and the SHERATON (€1290/£1,099.00) is perfect for those seeking  something more contemporary. The HARROW large freestanding bath shower mixer (€450/£350.00) goes perfectly with this bath.
You'll really feel like you're spoiling yourself when sinking into these beauties.

whirlpool baths

If you'd love to replicate the jacuzzi feel at home, we've also got a range of sumptuous Whirlpool baths such as the extra deep, double-ended PLANE bath which comes in a range of different lengths up to 2000mm. Perfect for a dip for two…

wet room panels

Showering doesn't get any better than this: indulge yourself in a wet room experience with our range of REVIVE wet room panels which can fit directly onto a tiled floor or shower tray. Sleek and sophisticated, you'll truly feel pampered every day with one of these in your home.
Add a luxury shower head such as our ARVA ROUND 250, or how about a body jet - we have them in square or round options.

Get the lighting right in your bathroom to create a wonderfully luxurious mood.
Whether it's hanging a fabulous chandelier, or simply installing a dimmer switch,  the lighting in your bathroom can work wonders for creating a spa-like atmosphere in your home.  There's nothing worse than glaringly bright lighting when you're trying to relax.

If you'd like an alternative to changing the light fixture, simply add some candles to your bathroom. A spa usually has pristine white or cream candles lighting. And if you really want a spa feel, get some wonderfully scented candles that will be a feast for your senses. Or burn some essential oils in an oil burner.

There's always soft, relaxing music playing in the spa, so replicate this with your own bathroom sounds.  We love the Roberts Splash radio which is powered by rechargeable batteries and is perfect for the bathroom.
It's clean, white look won't look out of place in even the sleekest of bathrooms.

Adding a stylish chair to your bathroom gives it that extra touch of luxury, so definitely place a stylish seat in there if you have space for it.
Whether it's an ornate armchair or a trendy rocking chair or simple ottoman, a chair can add texture, colour and class to the bathroom.

A gorgeous piece of art is a must for anyone wishing to replicate a spa feeling at home.  Art doesn't have to break the bank either - it could be a simple print of your favourite painting, a black and white photo, or a colourful abstract piece.

A basket for your neatly folded fluffy towels is always sure to add a plush, swanky feel to your bathroom. Reminiscent of a fancy spa, this doesn't have to be costly but it adds texture and softness to the overall look of your bathroom.
And of course it's always handy to have some towels within arms reach for when you come out of the bath or shower. Make sure you only display your fluffiest and best though.

Have a little basket for slippers and flip flops, just like you'd see in the spa. Other things you could put in there include loofas and bath brushes, exfoliator gloves or any other pampering products for a DIY spa at home.

A little end table for next to the bath is a gorgeous touch. Keep little glass bottles of bubble bath or your bath bombs on there, or a little wooden tray of rolled up facecloths, or a glass of pot pourri. Arrange your lotions and potions nicely here.

bathroom furniture for spa like bathroom

Get yourself a lovely piece of bathroom furniture. The KINGSTON chalk white is perfect for more traditional bathrooms, or for a more contemporary sleek feel and a statement piece, try the AVILA Aubergine double vanity unit with TOLEDO basin (from €999/£899.00).

bathroom accessories for spa like bathroom

Get nice accessories such as a nice hand soap dispenser such as one from the SONAS Bathrooms Colorado range. A plastic bottle of the cheap stuff from your local supermarket may be what you buy, but decant it into this for a look that's way more impressive and sleek. You can match your tumbler holder, toilet roll holder, soap dish etc. Uniformity for items such as these gives your bathroom a much more pulled together look.

heated towel rail

Replace your traditional radiator with a gorgeous heated towel rail for a swanky hotel bathroom look. We love the CHAPEL 1 (€440/£365.00) or if you want something more contemporary you could go for the Curved Chrome (€240/£220.00).

flowers for spa bathroom

Get yourself a plant or some flowers. If you don't have the budget to splurge on fresh flowers every day, you could get yourself some lovely imitation blooms. Don't get the cheap looking, fake looking plastic ones. You can get some really fabulous replica flowers in stores such as Brown Thomas and they're cheaper than you'd think from around €5 for a decently sized spray. Alternatively, you could go with a delicate plant such as an orchid.
